Privacy
You are sending us photographs of your family. This is what happens to them.
What we hold
The photographs, notes and voice recordings you and the people you invite add to a piece. The name each contributor types when they add something. Your email address and the details of your order. If you have an account, the address you sign in with.
Why
To compose and print the piece, to show you what it will look like before it is printed, to let the person it was made for open it, and to contact you about the order. We do not sell any of it, and we do not use your photographs to advertise.
People you invite
Contributors do not have accounts. They identify themselves by typing a name, and the invite link is the whole of their authorisation — so treat it like anything else you paste into a group chat. Nothing a contributor submits appears in the piece until you approve it.
Anything approved is visible to whoever holds the finished print. Tell the people you invite that, because they are trusting you with it.
Who else touches it
Payment is handled by Shopify — we never see your card details. Storage, accounts and the database are Supabase. The site runs on Vercel. Printing and delivery involve a production partner who receives the finished artwork and the delivery address, and nothing else.
How long we keep it
For as long as the piece exists, because the piece is what the print opens. If you ask us to delete a memory we delete the photographs, notes and recordings in it, and the print stops opening anything.
Order records are kept as long as accounting rules require, separately from the material you uploaded.
Asking for a copy, or a deletion
Email support@memory.art from the address on the order. We will send you what we hold, or delete it, whichever you asked for. If you are a contributor rather than the buyer and want something you added removed, write to us and we will remove it.
