People contribute more to a memorial than to any other occasion, and they keep contributing for longer. Contributions arrive weeks after everyone else has stopped.
There is often no photograph that is obviously the right one. Someone who was behind the camera for forty years appears mostly in other people's pictures, at the edge of them.
The date is not always the death. A first anniversary, an unveiling, a birthday that keeps arriving — these are the points at which people look for something to do.
The photographs exist, but they are spread across everyone who knew the person, and the people who have them do not know that anyone else wants them.

Send one link to the group you are already in. People add photos, notes, a voice message from the car — no accounts, nothing to download. You approve what goes in. We compose it into a single work, print it on archival stock, and send it to the person the occasion is about.

- Large, and slower than any other occasion. Contributions arrive over weeks rather than days.

- What they were doing in the photograph. Nothing else is required, and nothing else needs to be.
