Who Classic is for
Classic is the smallest piece we make, and the one most people buy first — usually because there is one specific photograph behind the decision.
The keeper of the one photograph
Most families have a picture that only one person has ever seen: in a drawer, inside a book, on a phone that replaced the phone it was taken on. It is often the oldest and the worst-quality image anyone has, and it is usually the one that matters most. Classic exists to take that photograph out of the drawer and put it on a wall, with the story attached to it rather than lost with whoever remembers it.
Someone giving a first personal gift
A present that is unmistakably about one person, without staging a production or organising anybody else. You need a photograph and ten minutes. Nothing about it requires the recipient to be technical, and nothing requires you to have kept a good archive.

You see a digital preview of the artwork and approve it before anything is printed. Contributions are reviewed by you too — nothing appears in the memory because somebody else decided it should.

A man in his thirties has one made for his father, from a photograph taken before he was born: nineteen years old on the deck of a ship in February, in a coat that belonged to his brother, two suitcases, and behind him the sea and nothing else at all.
His father has told the same four stories about that crossing for forty years. Nobody else in the family had ever seen the picture — it had been in a drawer since 1974, and it is scratched. There is no group chat here and nobody else to ask. One person, one photograph, one story that has been told at every dinner for four decades and written down exactly never.
What arrives is a 12×12 print. What the scan opens is the crossing, and his father telling it again — this time kept.
What actually arrives
Every piece is made to order after you approve the preview, and printed to be looked at from a foot away.
